Hello! I’m Hailey McLeod (she/they). I am a teacher candidate living and studying in Victoria, BC, the traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking people, the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with Distinction from the University of Victoria (2020) and am completing a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Teacher Education (2025).
As an aspiring high school Social Studies teacher and a settler, I am on a lifelong journey to better understand the history of this region and my place in it. I am interested in anti-racist and anti-oppressive education and creating safe and supportive places for students inside the classroom.
